Job Summary:

The Head of Sales is responsible for combining technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products. The role involves promoting and selling technical products or services to clients, understanding customer needs, and recommending the appropriate products and solutions. The Head of Sales will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the sales and marketing team, product development, and engineering departments to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:
    • Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities.
    • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the technical capabilities and benefits of our products.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to customers.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product specifications and stay updated on new product developments.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Prepare and present commercial and technical proposals to customers.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms of sale to close deals effectively.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
    • Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and potential product improvements.
  • Post-Sales Support:
    • Offer post-sales support services and help customers with any technical issues that may arise.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by providing ongoing support and follow-up.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline in the CRM system.
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance and market feedback to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven sales experience in a technical field, preferably automation and robotics.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and explain complex technical products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Hubspot CRM system.
  • Fluency in English, French or German.
